Walkers' Guide

  • All participants must submit their entries and payment online through this registration page.
  • All entries are based on a first-come first-served basis and all registrations will be acknowledged with a confirmation email.
  • The registration for the event is open to the public.
  • Once a registration is completed and payment has been made, registration fees are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • Upon confirmation of participation, changes to the category or other details will not be entertained.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to limit, accept or reject any entries without prior notice and reasons.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to close entries before deadline without any notice or when the quota is full.
  • Completion of the registration form is an indication of the participant's agreement to abide by the rules and regulations of Walk For Health 2012.
  • Entry fees are as follow:
  • RM30.00 for strokee and single caregiver (includes two (2) event T-shirts)
  • RM30.00 per other participants (includes an event T-shirt)
  • All participants must bring along the confirmation email together with their Identity Card or passport to collect their race number tags and event T-shirt. Those who are found running with an unauthorised race number will be disqualified. Race Pack collection:
  • Date: 22nd – 26th October 2012
  • Time: 10.00am – 5.00pm
  • Venue: Collection at the respective NASAM Centres where you have registered for the walk.  
  • Note: Participants who are unable to personally collect their race packs, are required to authorise collection to their nominees.  Photocopy of IC and signed copy of the confirmation email by the participant concerned, are to be presented during collection by the respective nominee. 
  • It is compulsory for the runners to display their race number tags at all times during the race. Failure to comply will result in the runners' disqualification from the race.
  • All runners are encouraged to wear the Walk For Health event T-shirt during the race.
  • Change in sizes during collection of the event T-shirt, is strictly NOT allowed. Participants must adhere to the sizes that they have registered for.
  • Participants must run on the designated path for the entire route. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
  • Priority at the starting line is given to all stroke survivors and their caregivers as well as participants who are wheelchair bound and physically challenged.
  • If you encounter any problems during the walk, please approach the event race marshals for assistance.
  • Water is available for participants at the start point.
  • Please keep to the left to allow faster competitors to overtake. If you encounter participants on the right side of the lane who are moving at a lower pace, please politely give verbal notification that you are overtaking.
  • No pets or any form of wheel-run objects of transport e.g. inline skates, prams, push cars, shoes with built-in or attached rollers are allowed on the course other than official race and medical vehicles.
  • Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organisers to ensure participants' safety, participants partake in this event at their own risks and the Organizers, their sponsors and their appointed officials shall not be liable for any death or injury, loss or damage, suffered or otherwise and howsoever arising.
  • Whilst a baggage deposit area is made available for the convenience of the participants, you are encouraged not to bring any valuables on event day as the Organisers will not be responsible for any loss of items.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to remove any participant deemed physically incapable of continuing with the race to prevent him/her from causing greater harm and injury to himself/herself.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to delay the commencement of the race in the event of inclement weather. Should the inclement weather persist after delay, the Organisers reserve the right to cancel the race without any refund.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to amend the Rules and Regulations without giving prior notification or any reasons thereof.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to change the event date or venue at their own discretion.
  • In the event of a dispute over prize results, an appeal must be lodged with the Organisers immediately. The Organisers reserve the final rights over any disputed race result decisions.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising.
